VIKING CRUISES

Viking Voyager was part of a technology initiative

to engage the guest at every touch point. Prior to Voyager, Viking had no digital experience that enabled guests to plan, manage, learn, book excursions and onboard activities for their their upcoming cruises.

A comprehensive digital solution, I was responsible for the definition and design of a comprehensive product ecosystem consisting of five experiences.

Onboard Interactive
Digital Displays

Nearly 100 digital displays are onboard each ocean going cruise ship. These include purely informational, wayfinding and interactive displays and surface tables.

Informational and wayfinding screens are located at elevators, outside ship shops and restaurants, at the gangway and in the lounges. Sizes ranged from 42” vertical to 85” landscape. Others were interactive, enabling guests to navigate to  a wide range of content located primarily in common, high traffic areas of the ship.

Onboard TV System

Viking Voyager functionality was integrated into the onboard television system as well as other relevant content and functions. This was an opportunity to create  both another point of control for the customer to manage their cruise and access content, as well as realize additional revenue streams and operational efficiencies.
